We’ve rolled out a major upgrade to how notifications work in CourseLit — making sure you never miss what matters.

      What’s New

      1. 🔔 Re-worked Notification System — rebuilt from the ground up for better reliability and flexibility.

      2. 📬 In-App and Email Notifications — stay updated wherever you are.

      Re-worked Notification System 🔔

We’ve completely redesigned the notification architecture to support a more scalable and extensible system. This new foundation allows us to deliver notifications more reliably and sets the stage for more granular controls in future releases.

      Why it matters

      - Improved reliability and performance

      - Better foundation for future notification types

      - Cleaner, more maintainable system architecture

      In-App and Email Notifications 📬

You can now receive notifications both inside your CourseLit dashboard and directly in your inbox.

This ensures you stay informed about important events — whether you're actively logged in or away from the platform.

      Why it matters

      - Never miss critical updates

      - Stay informed even when you're not logged in

      - Improved engagement and responsiveness

      For Self-Hosted Setups

This is a breaking change. Previous notifications will be wiped off as they cannot be supported by the new system.

To enable the new notification system, apply the following migration:

      - 17-02-26_18-10-seed-notification-preferences.js

For instructions on applying migrations, see here.

      That's it
